A Poem by: Alton

I wish my humor was like my Dad's

I wish I could be like him

He is amazing in almost every way

He can have fun and be a kid and not a boring adult

He can go to work all night and still make a lame joke about anything

He is my idle and he is what he is ... a Dad

Nice Poem. I like the lame jokes about anything. I'm sure he meant that his dad is his idol and not idle. Doug works pretty hard.

Personally I love the subtle implication that the word idle brings to the poem. Doug got a kick out of it too.
For an english project Alton wrote a book of poetry. The kid has got a creative streak a mile wide.
